We are recruiting an experienced Activities Therapist to organise and deliver a programme of activities which will enrich the lives of our residents in The Cottage, Coleraine.
Hours are 33.75 hours per week (10.30-17.30 – 5 days a week), with flexibility to cover evening and weekend events.
Hourly rate circa £8.50 depending on experience.
The Cottage in Coleraine is one of 8 care homes owned by Conway Group Healthcare. We have been providing community based professional nursing care for over twenty-five years. The person we are looking for will play a big part in meeting the needs of our residents by delivering social activities which are person centred and which will make our residents’ lives as happy and fulfilling as possible. To co-ordinate and deliver social activities for our residents and to deliver an innovative programme of activities throughout the year ensuring all events are forward planned and coordinated as approved by the Home Manager. Activities should be person centred, catering to a range of individual preferences across abroad spectrum of activities including but not limited to; beauty, relaxation, arts & crafts, music and theatre . You will also be responsible for ensuring that all associated documentation is completed and evidenced in line with our standards. Fundraising will be required and therefore previous experience will be an advantage. Candidates must be enthusiastic, motivated and have the skills necessary to ensure a varied programme of both group & one to one activities are provided to our residents.
What we need:
We need someone will be able to provide social activities to our residents in either a group situation or on a one to one basis. Previous experience of delivery activities within a care home setting is desirable but not essential.
